I’ve entered three of my photos in Fine Art America’s National TV Photo Contest. The odds are tough, but I’d be grateful if you’d throw some votes my way! The winner gets one of their photos along with their name featured on a nationally televised commercial.
The three photos I have entered are Wait (pictured above), as well as All 1 and Resonance (see below).
The contest only runs for another week, until May 31st, so please vote today! It’ll only take a few seconds. You can vote for each photo once, so please vote for all three!
Here are the links to cast your votes:
If you have a chance, please forward this post along to friends/family - every vote counts! Thanks!

My track “Ultraviolet“ is featured in the short film Atlantis, written and directed by Matthew Ornstein. The film “dramatizes the final space shuttle launch and its significance in the history of space exploration for all mankind.”
Atlantis will be screening at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival today, January 30th, and this Friday, February 3rd. Screening details are available here.

Experimental filmmaker Robert Nelson died earlier this week. His films, which displayed a remarkable combination of humor, wit, playfulness, and accessibility - all rare things in the avant-garde - have had an enormous impact on me and countless other artists. With the assistance of film preservationist Mark Toscano, I screened his film Bleu Shut at Northwestern University’s Block Cinema in 2006. It’s truly one of the best and most revolutionary films I’ve ever seen.
Mark has posted a poignant tribute on his blog. Rest in peace, Robert.
“Ultraviolet” named a Top Track of 2011
Music blog haonowshaokao, run by a Briton currently living in Beijing, has listed my song “Ultraviolet” as #80 on his 200 top tracks of 2011. It falls even higher on the list than some of the best tracks of the year from Oneohtrix Point Never, Real Estate, M83, and Peaking Lights, which is quite flattering.
Citing a lack of information about me on the internet, he quoted a lyrical excerpt from the track review written by 20 Jazz Funk Greats.
If you don’t already have a copy of “Ultraviolet,” grab one for free from Bandcamp.
